How Wind PulseSense Generated $430,000 in Annual Revenue at a Wind Farm

A leading North American independent power producer wanted to identify and recover hidden performance losses at a 305 MW wind farm. The wind farm had been recently acquired by the IPP.
Wind PulseSense analyzed high-frequency, event and 10-minute SCADA data without requiring additional hardware. The analysis identified four opportunities:
Turbine-specific yaw misalignment that a previous sitewide LiDAR-based correction had not resolved
Incorrect blade-pitch configurations
Curtailment caused by an incorrect power setting
Wind-sector management settings that unnecessarily restricted production
PulseSense Dynamics helped the operator prioritize corrective actions and verify the results after implementation. Turbine-specific yaw corrections increased Annual Energy Production (AEP) by 1.0%, while changes to wind-sector management delivered a further 1.1% improvement. Pitch and curtailment corrections contributed additional gains.
Together, these improvements increased site-level AEP by 2.5%, generating approximately $430,000 in additional annual revenue.
